The EMU Department of International Relations prepares students to understand and contribute to a dynamic, rapidly changing world. The International Relations (B.A.) program is a 4-year full-time undergraduate program at the Faculty of Business and Economics, designed to give students the knowledge and applicable skills that will serve them and their communities.
The program provides a comprehensive understanding of global political dynamics, international law, diplomacy and economic relations. Students gain analytical skills to interpret complex international issues and develop a nuanced understanding of interactions between states, international organizations and non-state actors.

Program structure
The program lasts 4 years and consists of 8 semesters. The language of instruction is English. The academic process is built in stages:
- First year — general faculty courses with predominantly theoretical content; the semester is graded on coursework, mid-term and final exam
- Second year — projects are added to the theoretical courses
- Class discussions — students from different countries are encouraged to participate, allowing them to get acquainted with the cultures of other nations
- First years — a general educational approach with courses in sociology, economics and humanities
- Subsequent semesters — regional courses (area studies) built on this foundation
The program does not require a dissertation but includes practical projects and case studies that allow applying theoretical knowledge to real scenarios. The training prepares students to compete on the international stage.

Admission
Admission to the International Relations (B.A.) program requires a high school diploma or equivalent. International students must prove English proficiency with standardized tests such as TOEFL or IELTS.
